Description: CBC Books invites everyone to send in their original, unpublished works of poetry (between 400 and 600 words, including titles). An entry can be one long poem or a collection of poems.
Successful entrants could win $6,000 from the Canada Council for the Arts, publication in Air Canada’s enRoute magazine, and a 10-day writing residency at The Banff Centre. Finalists win $1,000 from the Canada Council for the Arts and publication of the entry on the CBC Books website. Past winners include Brian Brett, Sue Goyette, Susan Musgrave, and Alison Pick.
The 2016 CBC Poetry Prize jury is Roo Borson, George Elliott Clarke and Erín Moure.
