Listen Deep: Poetry, Sound & Multitudinous Remix

Listen Deep presents three consecutive events about sound in poetry, considered within a poetics of listening, improvisation and collective sounding. Events may be attended separately.
Events are free and open to the public, with registration suggested for the opening workshop.

University College, current Barker Fairley Visitor Margaret Christakos, and the UC Review offer an exciting set of performance events focused on the element of sound in contemporary poetry, considered within an embodied poetics of listening, improvisation and collective sounding. The program includes an afternoon of focused solo readings with individual poets and an evening performance with solo and collective performances engaging with improvising musicians and audience participation. Guest artists include Oana Avasilichioaei, Canisia Lubrin, Donia Mounsef, Sachiko Murakami, Charlie Petch, Moez Surani, Anne Bourne and Karen Ng.
