The Griffin Poetry Prize Announces the 2015 International and Canadian Shortlist

TORONTO – April 7, 2015 – Scott Griffin, founder of The Griffin Trust For Excellence In Poetry is pleased to announce the International and Canadian shortlist for this year’s prize. Judges Tim Bowling (Canada), Fanny Howe (USA) and Piotr Sommer (Poland) each read 560 books of poetry, from 42 countries, including 24 translations.

Judges Robert Bringhurst (Canada), Jo Shapcott (UK) and C.D. Wright (USA) each read 539 books of poetry, from 40 countries, including 24 translations.

Judges Suzanne Buffam (Canada), Mark Doty (USA) and Wang Ping (China) each read 509 books of poetry, from 40 countries, including 15 translations.
